During the traditional pre-Rose Bowl dinner at Lawry’s steakhouse, Oregon lineman Mark Asper noticed a man chocking at a nearby table and jumped to his rescue by performing the Heimlich maneuver. An employee at the restaurant had been trying unsuccessfully to help the man before the lineman stepped in to do the job. The 6-foot-7, 325-pound Asper reportedly had no trouble dislodging the offending chunk of beef.
